  • Can I disable double click to deselect?

Hi there,
This is my first project in Spine so I'm pretty new. I have a wacom cintiq 16 tablet display and Windows 11 OS. Whenever I use my pen Spine registers it as a double click and keeps deselecting what I'm working on. Right now I'm working on putting weights on my meshes. It's like whenever I don't click directly on vertices it deselects the mesh and weights I'm working on, which is pretty often.

I've gone through editing the hotkeys and options for my tablet/pen, there's no hotkey listed in the file and none of the options I changed does anything. Is there anyone who is familiar with tablets who's come across this issue and how to get around it? Or is there a way to lock what I have selected so I don't have to worry about it? I definitely need some direction.

Cheers!

Welcome to the Spine forum!

You can uncheck Double click shortcuts on the Settings dialog to disable the shortcuts to rename an item in the tree or deselect in the viewport. To open the Settings dialog, press F12 or open the main menu by clicking the Spine logo in the upper left and choose Settings.... You can find Double click shortcuts by selecting Behavior in the left side menu.
Settings - Spine User Guide: Double click shortcuts

For your information, you can use spacebar or escape if you want to deselect other than double-click.

Thank you so much!!! I must have missed that option eight times, you've saved me a lot of frustration :grinteeth:

Glad I could help! If you have any further questions, please feel free to post them in this forum 🙂
