Help with a smoke animation
Hi! I'm new to spine... and I really need to replicate the effect that is shown in this video:
The problem is i'm having a hard time trying to follow it... I think I understand what is going on... but when I try to replicate what is done in the video it doesn't work the same... I can see a "jump" in the animation... the loop isn't smooth like in the video... i understand that the start and end keys aren't the same, so you can see the moment the animation "starts"... but then why it looks so seamless in the video? What I'm I missing...?
I need to make a simple smoke animation for a 2d game... Any advice on how to solve this o another tutorial with more step by step instructions would be awesome... couldn't find anything like that.
Thank you so much in advance!
PD: this forum has been so helpful for me learning spine by myself... but I can't find anything similar to what I need, sorry if it's been already asked/ answered!
Perhaps they are offsetting the animation, but not showing it in the recording?
Dopesheet view - Spine User Guide: Offset
A vaguely similar smoke example here: (I'm posting this because in the video it shows offset being used)
Windmill example: Smoke
I recommend this playlist by Arman for nice VFX tutorials:

Thank you Erika! You helped me a lot! I'm still struggling a bit, as I've been only a couple weeks using spine... I still don't understand how it works completely! But i understand new tools now and I managed to get somewhere (kind of xD) with that smoke thing I'm trying!
You're the best! <3
I'm very glad to hear that helped! feel free to post updates/the sample project if you get stuck!
