  • 4.0.35 Selection box doesn't manipulate in graph

Hey team,

With the new .35 build, in the graph editor it appears we've lost the ability to adjust the sides of the selection box to manipulate the spacing of keys. However the functionality works in the dopesheet.

Unrelated, is it possible to have the Interpolated playback setting saved with the file? I never use it, and need to disable with every load.

Thanks for all the amazing work,
quad

Oops, it's fixed in 4.0.36-beta, thanks!

Sure, we'll make it keep the interpolated setting. I wonder if it should be per project file or stored in the app settings?

Thanks Nate,

I wondered the same for the interpolation setting

for me personally I would have it off in the master settings and then turn it on if need be via the Timeline panel. But that's coming from the perspective of someone who never uses it. There may be some users out there that change that setting per project

say someone who's going for silky smooth game animation in one project, yet genuine 24 frame film work in another. Just clicking off per project wouldn't be a big deal for me since I tend to live in a small number of projects.

And sorry to muddy the thread with other requests, but do you imagine you'll add any hotkey slots for filtering? Maybe at the least switching between Filter Reset and Filter Current Tool? I'm also finding a need to consistently bounce between the discreet selection of a bone and property and back to displaying all bones and properties to adjust timing. Not sure if there could be hotkeys for that.

Sorry for the delay. We store interpolation per project started in 4.0.42-beta.

There are hotkeys for Dopesheet Filter and Graph Filter, which toggle the filter on/off (equivalent to right clicking the filter button). If you set the filter to Current tool, then using those hotkeys would toggle between no filter and Current tool. Does that work for you?

Please note that embarrassingly, the Dopesheet Filter hotkey does not work in 3.8. It was fixed in 4.0.

If you have the dopesheet or graph unlocked, clicking a bone shows timelines for only that bone, deselecting (spacebar, escape, or double click in the viewport) shows timelines for all bones. That sounds like it's what you want?
