Hi

I can't find any tutorials on how to import your own custom images to spine.
All the tutorials I see are using Spine project images. I attempted to import
my own images but when I got to the correct directory, the files were not
selectable (opaque and could not select). These were both .svg and .png
files that spine would not allow me to select. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Also, I'd like to know what format I can import; can I import vector graphics
and/or png?

Any help will be great.

In Spine you don't import individual images, you select the folder your images are placed in.
You can import JPG and PNG, not SVG.

I join rickmiranda's post- a tutorial of uploading images into Spine would be useful..

on the same note-
1)could it be that in trial mode it is impossible to upload any images that are not part of the example package?
2)I have tried saving a copy of the spineboy character to a new folder on my PC- which resulted with a image links- my attempt to reconnect the images was unsuccessful- how do i reconnect a missing image?

thanks,
shai

Hi Shiu

Thank you for your reply. I understand what you're saying. I figured that you don't import individual images instead, folders with images. But this functionality was not there either...I am using a trial version, is the trial version limiting my ability to import a folder? If not, where can I go to figure out how to do this?

Ok, I think I figured this out now. I went into the path browser and selected the folder with the images and seems to have imported fine. Thank you.

The trial is not limited in any way except for exporting and texture packing. Yep, you just need to pick a folder, not individual images.
