  • Any progress in bug fixing? :)

Hi, guys.

I have recently sent 3 e-mails about bugs with new Spine 3.6 to contact@esotericsoftware.com
Subjects are:

  1. Bug: Where is the tail?
  2. Bug: C-runtime. Missing attachment.
  3. Unable to open project v3.5 in v3.6
Each of them contains all details to reproduce these bugs.
Actually these bugs are really critical and unfortunately they broke our resource building pipeline.
I know you have got a new team members and probably there are some communication issues so you don't even know about these bugs 🙂
So I just wonder if you are informed about the bugs and wish you to deal with them ASAP 😉

Hello kxs, unfortunately since I'm new I don't have access to mail, but I've notified the rest of the team (:

I'm sorry you're experiencing problems, I'll try to kidnap Moo so Nate will be obliged to look into these bugs.

About the third bug, in the studio I work we've had the same issue, here's a roundabout until it's fixed:

  1. downgrade spine to a version that opens the file
  2. export a json with nonessential data checked
  3. update spine to the desired version
  4. import the json to the new project

We've replied to all your emails, and as we said, we are working on it. Parts of the team are on vacation, so things may take a little longer than usual. Thanks for the detailed repos. We'll try to provide fixes asap.

Thank you for your replies.

Workaround that allows to open old projects in new Spine works great! Thanks!

Here is one more minor bug in the editor.
Create the project with two or more skeletons and make them all visible.
Switch to Animation mode.
Then try to switch between different skeletons by clicking on the bones that belong to these skeletons.
In the Animation Tool the skeletons won't be switched. In Spine 3.5.x this worked fine

Do you have a wireframe visible somewhere? How's your configuration?
