Help with skins setup

I have 2 characters that are both exported using the photoshop to json script.

I'd like to have the second one as a skin of the first.

I can import data to bring both skeletons into one file, but i cant figure out how to attach the slots or images from the second character to the first as a skin.

It seems like you can't drag a slot/image from one skeleton to another.

Any workflow ideas?
