How to get old Spine installer?
Hi! I want to use old Spine version with grey icon and WITHOUT that new animated startup screen and red icon. Latest version have several bugs/problems:
- It shows TWO icons on dock panel (the second appears after startup)
- .spine files won't open by double clicking on them
Where to get the old version?
The issue you are describing (at least the second one) seem as if you are not using the latest version of the Spine launcher. Could you please re-download the latest launcher from your license page and check if this resolves your problems?
Reinstalling Spine didn't help, but maybe the problem is caused by macOS update. I hope future updates will somehow fix it
Hi, I'm also seeing two icons in the macOS dock. Is this expected behavior? Thanks!
No, that is not expected behaviour. What version of the Spine launcher are you using? What macOS version are you using? Are you opening a .spine file from finder and see this, or are you just opening Spine? Do you gave both the old Spine launcher and new launcher installed?
The launcher is 3.8.99 and Spine is 4.0.48 on macOS 11 and 12. It happens both when opening a .spine file and launching the app. Are the launcher and app versions supposed to match? I'll try deleting Spine and reinstalling
That did the trick. Thanks!
Having issue with two icons display in dock/tab switcher - one the app launcher, then the actual app - frustrating, tried deleting and installing again. still issue.
Springy This happens because the Spine launcher is 64-bit. When you run an older version of Spine below 4.0 that is 32-bit, so has to run in a separate process. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to avoid having two dock icons. Hopefully you can eventually move to the latest 4.1 or newer where you shouldn't see this issue.
