It is not the 1st time I encounter this bug. Sometime vertex just could not be moved.

If I remember it right, one of those weird vertex is even a newly created one.I wonder if it is caused by some incorrect values on the vertex. e.g. vertex data object is reused from recycling and didn't get full reset on all the values. I did a little soft selection right before this happen. Not sure if this is related.

Guess what, I did a little more testing. It seems like the problem is related to links with nearby vertices. As seen from the 2nd video, a vertex moved to that particular spot linked with those lower left vertices would have position locked. However, what happened to those bad vertices at the corner is still a mystery.

Is this Spine 3.6?

Yes, the latest stable version.

Oh, one more thing. I deleted the corner vertex and recreated it then all nearby vertices are back to normal.
That corner vertex is never modified before. It is from the original 4 vertices when I turn the image into mesh.

Hi fantasyz, could you possibly send us the project showing the problem (if under NDA, with images all recolored in black is fine too) so that we can try to repro it and hopefully understand the cause and solve it?
Please send the project to contact@esotericsoftware.com mentioning this topic, thank you!

Oops. As mentioned in last response, I already fixed it by deleted and recreated the vertex many hours ago. My project no longer be able to reproduce it.
I also wonder if I restart Spine would the problem be done. Didn't think of that so didn't try. Sorry.

Could you maybe see if among the automatic backups Spine saves shows the problem? (you can find them in the Spine settings, there will be a folder icon to open the folder where they are saved) thank you again!

Wow. There are lots of files in that folder
I found the snapshot that the tree just turned into mesh and the vertex is working fine.
Seems like the issue is runtime only and will be restored when a project is reopened.
Or maybe the save just didn't catch that issue at the right time.

You might try unchecking Deformed if it happens again. Sometimes that can make it clearer why a vertex cannot be moved. It would also be interesting if it happens in 3.7.
